MARTIN GUSTAFSSON

Profile

With many years within the legal and practical world of market surveillance, both national in Sweden and within EU, Mr Gustafsson has deep knowledge and experience that will contribute to successful projects.
As a market surveillance official at Swedish National Electrical Safety Board he has functioned as project leader for implementing the EMC directive (2014/30/EU) into Swedish law, handling delicate market surveillance cases and assisted as senior expert in several projects too mention some tasks. Mr Gustafsson also have a deep involvement in several groups of standardisation since many years in IEC.
Mr Gustafsson became a member of the PROSAFE Board in 2023.

OLIVER GERBER

Profile

With his legal background, Mr Gerber leads the Legal and Supervisory Group of the Radio Monitoring and Installations Division of the Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM) of Switzerland. In this function he is amongst others responsible for the monitoring and developing of the Swiss legal framework for telecommunications systems and electromagnetic compatibility, the imposing of sanctions provided by law regarding breaches of the regulations in that field as well as the provision of information services for importers, suppliers, resellers and users of telecommunications system. He also has extensive international experience, in particular through his work as a former expert on telecommunications, media and information society in diplomatic services for the Swiss Mission to the EU as well as a former Board Member of the European Platforms of Regulatory Authorities (EPRA). Mr Gerber holds a law degree from the University of Bern and a Master in Public Administration from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences.
Mr Gerber became a member of the PROSAFE Board in 2023.

KATARINA OLOFSSON

Market Surveillance Official - SNESB

Mrs Olofsson is an experienced Market Surveillance Official working in the Swedish Electrical Safety Authority (Elsäkerhetsverket) since 2007. She is responsible for Market Surveillance activities, primarily regarding safety of LVD, RED and GPSD products but also some EMC cases. She takes part in activities such as the samples purchase, test results interpretation, and technical expertise provision in case of appeals. She is currently the Chair of the Low Voltage Directive Administrative Cooperation Group (LVD AdCo).
She is a member of the board of PROSAFE since 2022.
Mrs Olofsson is a holder of a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. 

GRENADA SOFIJA DEMAKINA

Deputy Head of the Technical Products Surveillance Division – CRPC

Mrs Demakina is currently the head of the Technical Products Surveillance Division of the Consumer Rights Protection Centre in Latvia. She supervises the Market Surveillance Activities in the field of the pressure equipment, transportable pressure equipment, gas appliances, radio equipment, recreation crafts. She handles roles of representation of Latvia at several Administrative Cooperation groups, including the Transportable Pressure Equipment sector (TPED AdCo, a Chair since 2018), the Gas Appliances Directive/ Gas Appliance Regulation (GAD/GAR AdCo), the Pressure equipment sector (PED/SVPD AdCo, Vice-Chair since 2016), Radio equipment sector (RED AdCo), Equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially Explosive Atmospheres (ATEX AdCo), and the Marine Equipment (MED AdCo).
Being an expert on electrical equipment, radio equipment, pressure equipment and machinery since 1988, Mrs Demakina has been working at CRPC since 2013.
She is a member of the PROSAFE board since 2022, and she participated in Actions of PROSAFE like MSTyr15, JAMACH2014, JA2016 since 2013.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and a Master’s in Public Administration. She is currently undertaking two Masters of Science in Intelligent Robotic Systems and Management of Information Systems.
